Old Palace Chester Wedding Photography
Amanda and John’s wedding at Old Palace Chester brought together family, friends and a few surprises after 29 years together. Their sons played important parts in the ceremony, there was confetti on the steps, and Amanda’s choir, Handbags and Gladrags, joined the celebrations.
I photographed their day with a relaxed approach, making time for portraits around the venue while leaving plenty of room for everything happening naturally. This gallery brings together the people, reactions and little moments that made their Chester wedding personal to them.
Planning your wedding photographs at Old Palace Chester
For Amanda and John’s photographs, we made use of the bridal suite’s natural light, the steps and the grounds. Having several settings close together meant we could create a varied collection without taking them away from their guests for ages.
When planning your own photographs, think about the people you want in your group pictures as well as the portraits of the two of you. A short list agreed beforehand helps leave more time for enjoying the celebrations.
