Knowsley Hall, May & James

When May & James first contacted me and explained their plans and visions for their wedding, it sounded great. James did express how much he hated having his photo taken, but he did brilliantly.

May knew exactly what she wanted and I was on board to help deliver that. Plans for a pre wedding/engagement shoot, a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony, and traditional wedding at Knowsley Hall, followed by a delivery of a beautiful bespoke wedding album.

I'm a huge fan of Knowsley Hall. Having shot there a few times, I know that the service, the hall, the grounds and absolutely second to non! The experience as a whole with Knowsley hall is amazing.

After initially speaking to May & James on the phone, I first met them on their engagement shoot. They had chosen to have the shoot at Thurstaton Beach on the Wirral. This is a particular area that May & James enjoy going for walks.

The views are stunning and the weather didn't disappoint. Storms were forecast all day, but James insisted that we will be fine and won't get caught in them. James was completely right and the sky definitely treated us to a stunning display.

The Traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony was held at Glamorous Chinese Restaurant, and the food that was served there was AMAZING!

May looked absolutely sensational in her traditional dress, with gifts being presented by all family members. All of the family and friends were so friendly and made me right at home.

I think after all that toasting and drinking there were a few sore heads the next day!

The wedding day was held on a beautiful sunny day at Knowsley Hall.

May got ready in the Hall itself whilst all the guests began to arrive. James arrived in style by helicopter with his groomsmen!

The day went by without a hitch (pardon the pun). Such a relaxed atmosphere and everyone enjoying themselves. The food that was served was out of this world as usual.

The first dance was one of the best I've seen, with James picking his bride up and spinning around, all the adults and children having a great time on the dance floor, and the saxophonist really getting the party going!
